An illustrated, French translation of the work by Pedro Mexia entitled Silva de varia leccion (The Forest of Tales and Anecdotes), first published in Sevile in 1540. The manuscript was created in Mons, Belguim, dated 1587-1588. This was based on the published 1552 translation by Claude Gruget. The manuscript title page includes a phrase to indicate that it includes the fourth part of the work.
